PRAYER
"Give them to eat" (Luke 9:13) Lord, You ask our help in nourishing man in his desire for truth, happiness and justice, mercy and life, in every time and place on earth. We place ourselves in Your hands for this work according to the various and complementary vocations in the Church that You yourself manifest in our hearts. “Give them to eat” (Luke 9:13) But what can we give to man if not You, Who nourish us with Your own Body and Blood? Only You, Jesus of the Eucharist, In which all the good of the Church resides, The mystery of the Divine Incarnation, Of Your living presence, Of the Paschal Mystery, Of the Holy Spirit who transforms the bread and wine Into Your Body and Your Blood. We adore you, Living God. We celebrate you, Hidden Lord. With You we give thanks to the Father in union with the sacrifice of the Cross. And we pray: Help us to live the celebrated and adored Mystery, Make us courageous witnesses of You, Eternal contemporary, In the today of history. Inspire all the youth of the world who desire to have an intimate communion with You, Source and summit of the new evangelization, Source and summit of the life and the mission of the Church! We want to place You in the center of our hearts. We, with the relentless enthusiasm of youth, want to carry you into the streets of the world. Amen. |
