ADOREMUS: International meeting of Eucharistic adoration youth groups
“My address is directed to the sick, newly married couples, and to the youth:
In particularly to the representatives of adoration youth groups that are meeting in Rome
from various nations for a conference on the Eucharist. The great example of St. Francis of Assisi,
whose memory we celebrated, impels you, my dear young people, to put the Eucharist at the center
of your personal and communal life, learning to live by that spirtual
power which gushes forth from it...”
![]() General Audience 5 October 2005 St. Peter’s Square Who are we? A group of young volunteers (which includes lay people, religious sisters, consecrated, and seminarians). What do we wish to do? As a young Catholic group in the world promoting adoration we desire to meet others who share a similar mission and have them meet us through this web-site [ADOREMUS NETWORK] and to organize international gatherings in Rome [ADOREMUS 2004, ADOREMUS 2005]. What is our aim? Since the Adoremus 2004 European Conference and the 2005 International Conference, we have felt compelled to respond to diverse needs: • To put youth groups throughout the continents, who are living the same experience, into contact with each other. • To encourage Youth Groups in devotion to the Holy Eucharist. • To renew adoration of the Blessed Sacrament as a catalyst for evangelization. • To bring to light Church teaching by organizing conferences. • To exchange experiences and methods so as to keep these moments of prayer alive. • To understand the role of adoration groups in the life of the youth and of the Church, and the importance of putting them at the service of the Church. Seeing the great effects of these conferences, the Diocese of Rome gladly anticipates hosting these gatherings. The next gathering? The next International Conference for adoration groups will be the 31th of october through the 4th of november 2007 in Rome [PROGRAMM]. The theme of the conference: “Eucharist: the Vocation of Love”. |
