Jean Paul II and our fonders back

The community of the Sisters of St John, established as a religious Institute of Diocesan Right by the Archbishop of Lyon 25th March 1994, was founded during the pontificate of John Paul II, by Fr. Marie Dominique Philippe on the 8th December 1982, seven years after the Brothers of St John, in view of a contemplative life. Shortly thereafter a community of Apostolic Sisters was founded within the same religious family.
